Political party - A political party is a political organization that typically seeks to attain and maintain political power within government, usually by participating in electoral campaigns, educational outreach or protest actions. Parties often espouse an expressed ideology or vision bolstered by a written platform with specific goals, forming a coalition among disparate interests.
The type of electoral system is a major factor in determining the type of party political system. In countries where first past the post voting systems there is an increased likelihood for the establishment of a two party system. Countries that have a proportional representation voting system, as exists throughout Europe, or to a greater extent preferential voting systems, such as in Australia or Ireland, three or more parties are often elected to public office.
Partisan style varies from government to government, depending on how many parties there are, and how much influence each individual party The Democratic Party is a political party in the United Kingdom, founded in November 1998 by Malvern businessman Geoff Southall, who also funds the party. It was described as "right wing" or "hard right" in news reports, but claims to occupy the centre-ground of British politics. It aims to reduce Britain's involvement with the European Union, opposes the adoption of the Euro, calls for direct democracy, and argues for limits on immigration.
The Democratic Party is one of two major contemporary political parties in the United States, along with the Republican Party. The party's modern liberal platform is largely considered center-left in the U.S. political spectrum. The party has the lengthiest record of continuous operation in the United States. The party contains the most registered voters of any political organization in the world as of 2004, with 72 million voters. Polls taken over the last decade indicate that roughly 35% of American voters self-identify as Democrates. Socialism - The geo political system of managing countries had been for a long period of time been divided into three main boxes namely capitalism, communism and socialism. The Western countries predominantly were capitalists. Countries like Russia, China and Eastern Europe were communists and countries like India, and Yugoslavia followed the socialist path.
Socialism is a political system between capitalism and communalism. Whereas
capitalism aims at providing maximum benefits for all and communism talks about giving everyone the barest minimum at the least. Socialism strives to give at least the minimum comforts but aiming for a further betterment of people’s lives.
In the socialist pattern much of the industry is either owned or partly owned by the government and the private sector is imposed with many conditions including the industrial output.
